The lawyers will have to study photocopies.

On Tuesday the Ingodinsky district court upheld in part the petition of the investigation to limit the deadline for acquaintance with the case materials. After 15 December the lawyers will no longer be able to examine the original materials and must work with the photocopies they have made. The court did not impose any limits on Mikhail Khodorkovsky.

The court agreed with the defence opinion that the period for their client’s acquaintance with the case materials should be considered to begin in July 2008 when the investigation presented him with the charges.
